These terms cover the use of this website and the basis on which Creative Carpentry Solutions quotes and carries out work. They are written in plain English on purpose.
01Using this website
This website is here to show what we do and let you ask for a quote. You are welcome to read it, share it and contact us through it. Please do not use it to send abusive, misleading or unlawful messages, or attempt to interfere with how it runs.
We try to keep the information here accurate and current, but the site is general information, not advice for your specific job. Nothing on this website is a formal offer or a fixed price.
02Enquiries are not bookings
Sending the quote form starts a conversation. It does not book work, hold a date or create a contract. Work is only booked once we have spoken, agreed on scope and price, and you have accepted a written quote.
03Quotes
- Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued, unless the quote says otherwise.
- Quotes are based on what we could see and what you told us. Anything hidden until we open the job up — rot, termite damage, failed waterproofing, non-compliant framing or plumbing — is not included.
- If we find something like that, we stop, tell you what we have found, and give you a written variation. We do not carry out extra work and bill you for it afterwards.
- Where a quote assumes you are supplying materials or another trade, it will say so.
No GST is charged. CCS Creative Carpentry Solutions is not registered for GST, so quoted and invoiced amounts are the full amount payable. There is no GST to add, and no GST component for you to claim.
04Agreements for work
Carpentry and waterproofing work is carried out under a separate written agreement — an accepted quote or a written contract, depending on the size and type of job. Those documents set out the scope, the price, the payment stages and the timing, and they take precedence over anything on this page.
Residential building work in NSW is regulated. Where the law requires a particular form of contract, or requires insurance to be in place before work starts or before a deposit is taken, we comply with that. If a job falls outside what we can lawfully contract for, we will tell you straight, rather than take the work.
05Payment
- Payment terms are set out on the quote or invoice for your job.
- Invoices are payable by the due date shown on the invoice.
- Deposits and progress payments, where they apply, are set out in the written agreement before any money changes hands.
- We do not take payment through this website.
06Licensing and insurance
CCS Creative Carpentry Solutions holds NSW contractor licence 389992C for carpentry and waterproofing, valid to 17 October 2028. You can check it yourself on the NSW Fair Trading licence register.
We hold public liability insurance. We do not publish policy numbers or cover limits on this website. Where a builder, strata manager or principal needs written confirmation before work starts, that is arranged through our broker at quote stage.
07Your rights
Work we carry out comes with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, and with the statutory warranties that apply to residential building work under the Home Building Act 1989 (NSW). Nothing in these terms limits or removes those rights, and nothing here should be read as trying to.
If something we have done is not right, tell us. We would far rather come back and fix it than have you unhappy with our work.
08Where our responsibility ends
Subject to your rights above, we are not responsible for:
- Defects in work carried out by others, or in materials you supplied
- Pre-existing problems in the building that we did not cause and were not engaged to fix
- Damage caused by later alterations made by you or another trade
- Delays outside our control — weather, supplier shortages, or another trade running late on a shared site
Wet weather matters in our trade. Waterproofing membranes, external carpentry and concrete work cannot be carried out safely or correctly in the rain, and rescheduling for weather is not a breach of any agreement.
09Photos and content
The text, photographs, logo and design on this website belong to Creative Carpentry Solutions. Please do not reuse them commercially without asking.
We photograph our own work for records and portfolio use. If you do not want a photo of your job used publicly, tell us and we will not use it. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle this.
10Privacy
How we handle your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
11Changes
We may update these terms. The version published here at the time you accept a quote is the version that applies to your job.
12Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
